Winter Theatre Performances in Tallahassee

By Danielle Wirsansky on November 24, 2014

As the holidays roll around and school quietly peters out, things slow down. And that’s great at first. You finally have time to all the things you put off doing. You can sleep in or stay up all night. But you get through that list of things you wanted to do quicker than you expected. Now you have weeks of break left—and nothing to do! So here is a list of theatre performances going on in Tallahassee over the next couple of weeks.

A Charlie Brown Christmas

“With its blend of heartwarming themes, lovable characters and contemporary jazz score, “A Charlie Brown Christmas” is a joyous event for the entire family!

DATES & TIMES:
November 20-22 & December 4-6 at 8:00 p.m.
–Additionally, we’re introducing a special 10:00 a.m. matinee on December 6, which includes post-show, “COCOA & COOKIES” with members of the cast!

ABOUT THE SHOW:
In 1965, Peanuts creator Charles M. Schulz called on pianist-extraordinaire Vince Guaraldi and his trio to compose and perform music that would reflect the humor, charm, and innocence of Charlie Brown, Snoopy and the entire Peanuts gang for their 1965 Christmas TV special. Theatre TCC! will be kicking off the 2014 holiday season with a new stage production that captures this iconic show. A shorter run-time makes this production suitable for even the youngest family members.

TICKET INFORMATION:
RESERVE YOUR SEATS by contacting FSU’s Fine Arts Ticket Office (850-644-6500 or www.tickets.fsu.edu). Tickets may also be purchased at the door on the day of the show. $15 for adults, $10 for seniors, $7 for children and non-TCC students. Free admission for TCC faculty, staff, and students!”

I’m Honestly Feeling So Attacked Right Now

Come see Heather and George meltdown.
December 5 & 6 at 10pm.
Fine Arts Annex, room 117. Free.

How fucking dare anyone out there make fun of Heather and George after all they have been through! They lost their aunt. They went through a divorce. They had two fuckin’ kids. Their husbands turned out to be users, cheaters, and now they’re going through custody battles. All you people care about is….. readers and making money off of them.

THEY’RE HUMAN! (ah! ooh!) What you don’t realize is that Heather and George are making you all this money and all you do is write a bunch of crap about them. They haven’t performed on stage in years. Their song is called “give me more” for a reason because all you people want is MORE! MORE! MORE! MORE! MORE!

LEAVE THEM ALONE! You are lucky they even performed for you BASTARDS! LEAVE HEATHER AND GEORGE ALONE!…..Please.

Perez Hilton talked about professionalism and said if Heather and George were professionals, they would’ve pulled it off no matter what. Speaking of professionalism, when is it professional to publicly bash people who are going through a hard time?

Leave Heather and George Alone. Please!
Leave Heather Cunningham and George DeSalvia alone!…right now!….I mean it.!

Anyone that has a problem with them, you deal with me, because they are not well right now.

LEAVE THEM ALONE!

Do you really know what goes on behind closed doors? Can we ever begin to imagine what it would be like to lose a loved one to abuse, or to experience abuse ourselves? What is we already have? What if we someday will?
1 in 4 women suffer from domestic abuse in America today. Many use abuse as a mode of gaining power over, or ‘othering’ another gender. Abuse can lead to mental trauma, emotional distress, physical harm, and all too often, death. Join us as we dissect the culture of domestic violence in America and work to save those suffering now.
